The iPhone experience brings together camera capture, on-device spoken plate entry, a plate keyboard, and widgets that show just a count.
Keep your hands off your phone while driving. The hands-free flow is for speaking an outgoing message and hearing incoming counts. Message bodies are never the announcement.

Good to know.
No. Claim the vehicle you drive and have permission to use. Loans, leases, company cars, and family cars all fit the honor-based claiming model.
Request a review and attach a registration photo. Your evidence stays private. An authorized person reviews the claim and records a decision; the public app does not automatically give the plate to either person.
About claim reviewsYes. “Not claimed in Platd” means no driver has claimed it here. It is not a government registration check. Plate designs are chosen by the driver; the look is not proof of registration or ownership.
Do not handle or look at your phone while driving. The iPhone hands-free flow is being tested for spoken outgoing messages and incoming counts. Availability also depends on device permissions and iOS settings. Use the web app while safely parked.
The access page lists the current iPhone and web options. If an installation option is not available yet, it is clearly marked there.
