A plate-first profile.
One personal profile covers your account. Each vehicle has its own details and privacy choices. Everything stays hidden until you turn it on; there’s no person-to-plate directory.
Good things, by the plate.
Message any car by its plate: a quick heads-up, a thoughtful thank-you. Claim your own plate if you have one, so people can reach you too.
Made for iPhone, with a web companion.
You don’t need a car to send a message.
The little things
worth saying.
Your lights are still on.
Thanks for the heads-up.
A small note.
A little human connection.
Simple, from the start.
A little help can start with a plate. Here’s how.
Enter the region and the plate number, by camera or keyboard, and check every character before you go on. You don’t need a car or a plate of your own.
A heads-up, a thank-you, a thoughtful note. First contact is a single message request that the owner can accept or decline before the conversation continues. An unclaimed plate can’t receive messages yet.
Claiming a plate is optional. Add one to be reachable through it, and claim only a vehicle you drive and have permission to use. Replies stay with the people in the conversation.
One message, then their call.
Your first contact with a plate is one message request. The owner can accept it and reply, or decline it. Nothing continues until they choose, and accepting a conversation never makes you friends.
Please don’t handle your phone while driving. Send and read messages when you’re safely parked.
How message requests workHi! Your trunk is open.
One message to start.
The owner chooses what happens next.

Privacy, in plain languageOne personal profile covers your account. Each vehicle has its own details and privacy choices. Everything stays hidden until you turn it on; there’s no person-to-plate directory.
Friend requests are separate from conversations, and accepting a conversation never makes you friends. You can remove a friend, stop contact, or report a message.
A first message is only a request. The owner can accept or decline it before anything continues, and you can stop contact at any time.
The Platd beta doesn’t use your location. Read the details.
Room for a longer conversation.
Use the responsive web app to message plates, manage your own, and catch up on conversations, with the same privacy controls. Camera support depends on your browser and device.
Good to know.
No. You can message any plate and receive replies without a car or a plate of your own. Claiming a plate is optional; it lets people message you through it.
The owner sees one message request and can accept or decline it. The conversation continues only if they accept. Accepting never makes you friends.
About message requestsNo. Claim the vehicle you drive and have permission to use. Loans, leases, company cars, and family cars all fit the honor-based claiming model.
Request a review and attach a registration photo. Your evidence stays private. An authorized person reviews the claim and records a decision; the public app does not automatically give the plate to either person.
About claim reviewsYes. “Not claimed in Platd” means no driver has claimed it here, so it can’t receive messages yet. It is not a government registration check. Plate designs are chosen by the driver; the look is not proof of registration or ownership.
Please don’t handle or look at your phone while driving. Send and read messages when you’re safely parked.
